The Old Campbell County Historical Society invites you to join our society and help us preserve the history of our area. The society is interested in obtaining copies of any photographs, family histories, business artifacts (store account ledgers, old invoices, etc.), items from clubs or organizations (printed programs of events, photographs of members, etc. ) or any item of interest that will aid future historians and family members in researching the people and places of Old Campbell County.
OCCHS was formed in 1970 as a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of the Campbell County Courthouse as well as artifacts and information about the county. The Courthouse in Fairburn is now the home of this society and houses the OCCHS museum which tells the story of Campbell County. if you have items you would like to loan or donate to the Campbell County Museum, please contact Nancy Cornell (770-964-6489). OCCHS has a Research Room in the Campbell County Courthouse which is staffed by volunteers and opened for a limited number of hours each week. The Old Campbell County Historical Society meets each third Sunday at 3p.m. (except October and December) at the Courthouse in Fairburn, Georgia. The meetings are open to the public and we invite you to visit or join our society. Members receive a newsletter containing information about the society, historical and genealogical research and news of upcoming events. Membership dues are $15 per individual, $25 for member and spouse, $50 for businesses, and $200 for Life Member, to join the society, mail check with name, address and phone number to:
